The pre-requisites for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) rating are five PADI specialties and certification of 25 students within any level of the PADI System of Diver Education

After the completion of the IDC you have an opportunity to achieve the rating (MSDT), Master Scuba Diver Trainer through an internship program.

During Assava Dive Resort Internship Training you are not only taking an MSDT Preparation Course but you actually certify 25 students and finish off as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

During this 4-5 day program, you can choose to become a PADI Instructor in five of the following Specialties:

• Adaptive Teaching Specialty Instructor
• Deep Diving Instructor
• Digital Underwater Photographer Instructor
• Aware Shark Conservation Specialty Instructor

• Fish Identification Specialty Instructor
• Marine Resource Management Specialty Instructor
• Peak Performance Buoyancy Instructor
• Search and Recovery Instructor
• Self-Reliant Specialty Instructor ***
• Sidemount Specialty Instructor ***
• Underwater Naturalist Instructor
• Night Dive Instructor
• Underwater Navigator Instructor
• Wreck Diver Instructor

*** The Student Diver Level is required for these specialties above and additional rates apply.

Cost: $111.00 Australian Dollars Per Specialty
MSDT Application Fee: $151.00 Australian Dollars

With our current MSDT program at Assava Dive Resort, if you take the MSDT and Internship Program we offer the MSDT application free of charge.

1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Be certified as an Instructor or equivalent.
3. Be fit for diving and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
